Audio Panel
The Morse Identifier audio signal for each navaid can be toggled on/off with the respective switches. A system test can be performed with the test switch. Normal operation is indicated by a green light and audible beep.

 

COM/NAV Radios

All radios have primary and standby frequency capability.

 

The COM and NAV radios can be tuned from either the tuning knob, or directly on the surface of the standby frequency display.

 

Once a new frequency has been selected, it can be fed to the active frequency via the Active/Standby Switch.

 

The system can be tested using the Mode Switch. Normal operation is indicated by a green light and audible beep.

 

ADF Radio
Frequency, +/-,  is selected by the respective buttons, aligned with the individual decimals.

 

Transponder

Frequency, +/-,  is selected by the respective knobs, aligned with the individual decimals.

 

The Mode Switch selects between normal (SBY), ALT and text (TST) modes. ALT mode allows ATC to interrogate the transponder for altitude information.

 

The system can be tested using the Mode Switch's TST position. Normal operation is indicated by a green light and audible beep.
