The
GLV2000 is more than just a GPS and color moving
map. It is a microprocessor controlled LNAV
(Lateral Navigation) and VNAV (Vertical
Navigation) system which follow a filed flight
plan loaded into the simulator. It takes full
control of the autopilot, with parameters for
each phase of the flight. This frees the pilot
to perform all other cockpit tasks with greater
ease and efficiency.
This advanced Multi Function Display (MFD) is an
all-in-one direct replacement for the default
panel mounted GPS in Flight Simulator X. It incorporates a GPS moving map, flight
plan facility, autopilot LNav and VNav computer
interface control, fuel totalizer, and radio
stack, including an encoded transponder.
All systems integrated by microprocessor system and
seamlessly integrated into this one panel unit.
Sized exactly to replace the default Flight
Simulator GPS. |

The
advanced VNAV computer uses performance data
obtained from your aircraft's configuration
files to calculate the parameters necessary to
take complete authority over the autopilot's
vertical axis. The LNAV and VNAV computer can,
at your option, control the entire flight from
takeoff to landing.
